WALT: writing a reflection on my basics facts results

In my basics facts test my score before was 572 and now my score is 588. I'm quite scared about my results when I first got it this morning. When I had my results I kept on starring at it and see what got wrong and what I got right in my test. I couldn't work carefully because it's hard for me to concentrate because of the noise that the kids are making. The next step that I want to learn is Algebra, Obtuse, Straight and Reflex. I really want to learn more about Statistics.

Maths E-Asttle Results

This is my E-asttle Maths Results. I got a 2P. I’m really shocked when I checked my maths results on e-asttle. I tried so hard to pass my test. Many questions were quite difficult for me but the most difficult question was to Find a fraction or percentages of an amount. Next time I set a test on 

e-asttle I would like to concentrate more on all my subjects. I would like to learn more about Geometry.  

Prototec - Basic Facts

This is my maths results in Prototec. It was a quite challenging for me because decimals and percentages were quite difficult too. I need to learn my fractions and percentages off by heart. I have 10 of out of 10 in Multiplication, Division, Square roots and factors. The next time I set a basic facts test I would like to try stage 8.

Adding Fractions

This is my results for adding and subtracting fractions. It was quite difficult because some questions were hard and some were easy. This was challenging for me because I get to race with other cars but the fractions that I was stuck with was 1/6 + 3/6.  In my screenshot I came 8th. Next time I play this game I would like to learn more about adding and subtracting fractions.

Ratios and Proportions Problem

WALT: solve problems using ratios and proportion

To make 20  bags candy floss  3kg of sugar is needed. How much is needed to make 35 bags of candy floss?

In this problem I had worked out a problem by using ratios and proportion. The ratio that I compare was Candy floss to sugar.

CF   :    S

20    :    3

40    :    6

To solve this problem I have to use my division facts to solve it. By using this problem I used my 2 times table or my doubles.To get 40 I multiply 20 to 2 and to get 6 I also multiply by 2 which is 2 times 3 and that's how you get the answer 6.

Jam biscuits

Walt: write a procedure for making………….

Success Criteria: use a verb to begin every  step in the method.

Today, in room 11 we made jam biscuits. Everyone got to make there own biscuit. Each person had to mix the ingredients. In the bowl it had all the ingredients in it. The ingredients that were in the bowl were:

• 125g butter (1/2 cup)
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tbsp milk 180

Method:

1. Preheat the oven for 180℃
2. Add the butter into the bowl
3. Pour the butter into the bowl
4. Pour 1/2 cups of sugar on top of the sugar
5. Add the plain flour into the bowl with other ingredients
6. Mix the ingredients one by one until it’s smooth
7. Add 1 egg into the bowl then stir until it’s fine
8. Wash your hands before you put your hands into the ingredients
9. Stir the ingredients with your hands until it gets smoother and smoother
10. Roll up the dough until it’s round
11. Put the dough into the cups which is cupcake holders
12. When the dough is finished put it onto the tray then into the oven for 180℃
13. Wait for 10-15 mins
14. When it’s ready cool it down

Equation Problem

WALT: write word problems for equation

Today in Maths I had tried the most challenging word problem. In class we had 3 levels. In my maths problem my equation was challenging which is multiplication because it's challenging. Next time I do a maths problem I would like to learn more about hard multiplications facts. 

Length

In this game I have to try to solve length problems by using strategies. This was really difficult because I didn't understand the questions. When I was on studyladder I only got 4 wrong and 7 right. Next time I do this length problems I will try my best to get them all right.

Teaching my friend

This morning I learnt square numbers and square roots. I know that 12 squared is equals to 144. Andrea and I didn’t need to discuss this because she already knows her square roots and square numbers.

Christmas - Area

In this game it's all about Christmas Tables. Christmas tables is about area. In this area I have to figure out which answer is right and which answer is wrong. I have to pick either Green or Red. But when I was playing this game I felt really excited. Playing this area game is very interesting because it always help's me for my learning and my attentions, learning my area's is interesting.    

Christmas Lights

In this game I have to put every single answer in each box because I chose times table because it’s easy for me and it’s not hard to answer it, but some of them were difficult and complicated. Next time I play this game I would like to play this some day.

Meteor Multiplication

In this game you have to shoot the right answer because you have to find out the answer for 30. As the game begins you need to find the answer very quickly or other wise you will get hit from one of those rocks. I used my head to figure out the answer for 30 but when I clicked on

3x10 I got the answer right and I got to go on the next level.

Bite size (Maths)

Today I have been learning all about times table. Times table is very fun because if I now my fractions I will now how many in a set. I solve this problem by using my fractions. In this game I tried really really hard to get the right answer. But luckily I got the right answer just in time. Next time I will play this game again.

Matching Fractions with the right set

Today I been learning all about fractions. Fractions is the most important thing of all because if I don’t now my times table I will not now my fractions. This game is very easy because learning my fractions everyday will be very interesting and very complicated. Next time I would like to play this game again next time. This game is the best.

Equivalent Fraction

Today I been learning all about fractions. Fractions is very exciting because if I know my times table I will know how to solve fraction problems easily. In this game I tried my best to get the right answer for 4/12 - but I kept on getting the wrong answer so I tried my best again and I got the right answer. I wish I will play this again.

Sumdog - Dream Jigsaw

Today I learnt many different strategies - I have learnt Fraction, Multiplication and more. When I was playing the Dream Jigsaw I felt that I'm going to lose but I did lose and the challenger won against me. Next time I hope I will come first in this game again.

Spending Splurge

I played this game with Serena and Tupou. It’s called Spending Splurge. In this game I had $1,750, we used this money for our air ticket so we can go to Australia. Our return ticket cost $755.This game has taught me a lot of things & I learnt something from this game.This game is really important because while we on vacation we will know how much money we have in our balance.
