Every year Manaiakalani schools have a film festival. There was lots of wonderful acting and singing. My favourite movie was Perseverance from St PiusX. It had good message. Keep trying and you can be successful.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 11 and my teacher is Mrs Ramkolowan.

My new shoes
My New Shoes.
My new shoes have to be blue because it is a fun colour and it makes me feel crazy. Most of all blue is a cool colour isn’t it.
Firstly it has to be blue. Because it is warm. Lots of the people in other countries wear blue.
Second of all blue is everyone's favourite colour in the whole wide world.
Finally, blue shoes are fun.
Blue shoes are way more fun than the other plain shoes.

When we first opened the box
Dear Mum and Dad
It was a such a lovely day. When the netbook launch started Mr Hendrick called out each student's name. There were lots of people in the hall. But some of the other classes don't have a netbook, only room 9, 11 and also room 12. I expected to listen to what the teachers say but I didn’t expected
to hear the Queen's letter.
When we opened the box it was a laptop and it was a brand new. The netbook will help me to learn and make me
work a bit faster and finish my homework.
The thing I enjoyed was the movie making that Mr Ramkolowan had done. Afterwards we all went back to the classroom. Then Mrs Grant came and taught us how to do some different
things.
So thank you mum and dad for everything you've done for me.
Your daughter
