My Best Holiday
Last Year my mum’s family came from Samoa to Auckland. My three aunties and my two
cousins, a boy aged three and a girl aged eight came to live with me for two months. They
came to my mum’s first cousin’s graduation.
My mum bought a new van so my family can go to Wellington. My uncle Ata drove the van all
day long. At 3:00am we started to pack up our stuff and food. My dad made a pot of coffee for
the adults. He didn't go because he has to look after the dog and the house.
During the drive it was a little bit boring. There was nothing to do so I just sat and listened to
the Samoan music. On the way to Wellington my mum’s family were fast asleep because the
driving was long, it took four hours to get to Wellington.
When it was 7:00am we were still on the road, everyone in the van was exhausted and hungry.
Then my mother had an idea she told my uncle to pull over so we can have a break.
After that my mom’s whole family came outside so that we could stretch our legs and our
whole body.
When it was time to go back inside one of my cousins was a little bit noisy and that would be
my youngest cousin. He always cries when someone takes his toys. On the way to Wellington
my little cousin always hangs around my mum sometimes he annoys me.
Meanwhile, when we arrived at the Wellington Hotel my mum’s first cousin came outside and
hugged one of my aunties. My cousin Nesa is my mum’s first cousin but I call her my cousin.
The reason why we went to Wellington is because my cousin Nesa Graduated at the special
place called the University of Wellington.

St Patricks Day

WALT: explain the legends of St Patrick.
Long time ago in Britain in the year of 387 Maewyn Succat was born. Maewyn Succat was a given name from his family. His parents were Calphurnius and Conchessa. They were a high ranking Roman family.
When he was sixteen years old the Irish raiders kidnapped him and sold him as a slave. He dreamed to have a ship so that he can escape and get back home to his family.
In the afternoon there were snakes in the town and the people of the town were frightened. The snakes always slide around and scare everyone. Maewyn was visiting the town and he saw every single snake sliding around. He was holding a long stick and drove them in the ocean and know the snake an vanished
After then the people of the town were happy and when they saw Maewyn they walk up to him and said thank you.
On the year 17th March 461 A.D he died of the saul. During the 385 A.D he was born in Wales, but he grew up in Britain. Maewyn believed that he wants to buried himself in downpatrick.
